The hardest thing.

The hardest thing a parent will ever have to do is bury their child. My heart goes out to John Travolta and his family during this very painful time in their lives.

To lose a child is heart wrenching but to have your grief spread out for the whole world to see makes it even more excruciating. Everyone grieves in their own way and it should be private. Unfortunately due to his stardom everything John does is news worthy, his triumph, his failures and so to his grief.

It is almost natural that we feel somewhat entitled to know how he’s feeling, how the family is holding up. After all, most of us have watched him grow up from a sweat hog to the leading man he is. We feel attached to him in a way that somehow we know him and are therefore entitled to share this with him as well. But the truth is we don’t know him; not the man, the husband, the father. All we know is the actor and the image he chose to present to us.

Mr. Travolta and his family deserve to be left alone to bury their son and to grieve for him in private.

Rest in peace Jett.

I'm really put off with how much speculation and talk of this there is in the media. Jett Travolta was not a celebrity, nor did his parents really parade him in front of cameras. They seem quite protective of both their children. Just mention it and get on with things. The sensationalism the press creates about everything is sickening. His parents and sister need to grieve, not be daunted by countless stories in the press. Personally, I think it is disrespectful; however, when has the press been respectful?
