Wednesday’s poetry corner. (I know it’s Thursday.)

I took my daughter to Claire’s on Sunday to get her ears pierced. She announced on Thursday that she was ready. I told her if she got her room cleaned up we would get them done that weekend. She did, so we took her to get her ears pierced. She did really well and only whimpered a little. As soon as she was shown her ears the whimpering stopped and she was all smiles. When her brother was admiring her sparkly ears she commented to him that it hurts to be as beautiful as she is. So in honor of my daughter’s beauty I offer this poem for Wednesday’s poetry corner.
My Idea of beauty
by Nitya Pillai
Beauty is the sensation of your heart skipping a beat,
when eyes full of mischief glance at you...
Beauty is the smile which appears on your lips, when you think of the way he smiles at you...
Beauty is in the heart which touches another
Beauty is tender hands holding each other
Beauty is strong arms holding you warm
Beauty is in water, beauty is in weather,
beauty is in air, beauty is in life
Beauty is in love, beauty is in wind...
Beauty surrounds you days and nights
yet no one knows beauty's heights...
